Relief Valves
Gilmore relief valves provide positive protection for system overpressure and feature tight shutoff, precise set point and controlled blowdown. Our unique direct-acting hydro-seal hydraulic relief valve is unaffected by downstream pressure and can handle liquid up to 13,750 psi while remaining infinitely resettable and immune to chatter.
Gilmore manufactures both poppet and hydro-seal-type hydraulic relief valves with set pressures ranging from 80 psi to 22,500 psi in a variety of stainless steel alloys. Piping/tubing connections ranging from ¼” to 1” are readily available in NPT, SAE, MP, BSPP and socket weld. Gilmore can usually accommodate other connection configurations to your specifications.
The website listings include our most popular models. Please contact a Gilmore sales representative to discuss your particular requirements.

APPLICATION:
A relief valve protects the hydraulic system tubing, piping, pumps and other components from damage caused by inadvertent system over-pressurization. Although the valve’s relief pressure is typically set at 10% over the system’s normal operating or working pressure, the system design engineer determines the actual set pressure.
